Jan Rosenberg - Playwright

Jan Rosenberg is a playwright and screenwriter living in Queens, NY. Their play  was selected for the O'Neill Playwright Conference and is a Princess Grace Award Semifinalist. Their short film 'guts' premiered at Sundance Film Festival and is currently running the festival circuit. Jan's plays have been workshopped and developed by Seattle Rep, IAMA Theatre, LAByrinth Theater, Shotgun Players, The Farm Theater, and countless others.

Alex Church-Gonzales - Director

(she/they) is a director, designer, and stage manager. She is a resident artist with Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective and supporting artist with CO/LAB Theater Group. As a director of plays that don’t exist yet, they specialize in both devising new ensemble works and co-incubation with playwrights. Stevie Jae Davis - Jacob

Stevie Jae Davis (They/He) is a Queer, Non-Binary actor, collaborator and Playwright (Sapphic Scouts). They recently made their Off-Broadway debut in the all trans production of The Civility of Albert Cashier (Billy/John), Led the Fled Collectives show SWAY by SMJ as Shayas well as worked on the Tina Landau lead Transparent Musical workshop. He was a part of the developmental readings of Off-Broadway bound Musicals 10 Days in a Madhoue and Maxa: The Maddest Woman in the World. They have been involved the Music Video for the song Strange Power from Maxa: The Maddest Woman in the World. In Philadelphia they are co-founder of an all queer/trans theater company, Theater Oblivion! 

Jules Forsberg-Lary - Gory

Jules Forsberg-Lary (they/she) has been waiting for the opportunity to collaborate with Jan on something a little wacky, pretty dark, and very weird for basically ever. If you like Jules' performance as Gory, you can catch them in a stage production of "Funny,'' in Queens later this year, or on a few different Apple TV+ series in 2025. Thanks to everybody who made this reading possible, to the Makers' Space & Emily, to our director Alex, and to my fellow castmates for the time we spent playing together, and especially to Jan for the years of friendship & laughter. Also, special thanks to my cat Masha for reminding me to always be uncompromising in who you are & to my roommates for feeding my cat while I was at rehearsal. 

Zo Tipp - Mickey

Zo (pronouns: they, them, theirs) is a San Francisco born, Lenapehoking/NYC based, Japanese-Jewish American nonbinary neurodivergent actor/singer/mover/occasional comic. They are currently a recurring guest star on American Horror Story Season 12: Delicate(FX, Hulu), have appeared on Dickinson (Apple TV), and have starred in several independent films, including selections for screenings at Newfest and Outfest. In theater, they've worked with INTAR, Playwright’s Horizons, NYTW, CSC/Oregon Shakes Play On! festival, Rattlestick Theater, Pan Asian Rep at Theatre Row, Cherry Lane Theatre, Red Bull Theatre, WP Theatre, The Movement Theatre, The Acting Company, Westchester Broadway Theatre, Access Theatre, The Playwright’s Realm, New Dramatists, The Lark, TheaterWorksUSA, Faultline Theater, Frigid Fest, Huntington Theater Company, The American Museum of Natural History, Playbill.com, and The Actors Fund. Zo’s voice has been featured in dramatic podcasts, including Play On!/OSF’s collaboration with Next Chapter Podcasts. They have sung at Birdland Theater, in Times Square, at Spectrum NYC, and at the Joventuts Musicals Festival in Barcelona. Zo has performed operatic roles with Opera on Tap, Dell’Arte Opera, Underworld Productions Opera, Garden State Opera, and Manhattan Opera Studio. They have been described as “the biggest badass onstage,” “a gracefully athletic faerie,” and “endearingly twitchy,” portraying characters from Hamlet to Puck, from a frustrated tech genius to a sword-fighting kitsune spirit.

Chance Kester - Stage Directions

Chance Kester is a devised theatre artist, a puppeteer, musician, clown, physical theatre artist, and reptile breeder. He typically spends his time creating theatre about the environment and working towards wildlife conservation efforts. You can catch him at the Bronx Zoo as part of their Wildlife Theatre team, operating as one of their puppeteers. He’s very excited to once again be assisting Breaking and Entering!

Emily/Bubeck - Producer

Emily (or Bubeck, whatever name is easiest for you) is a Queer, Catholic, Appalachian Theatre Practitioner and Multi-Disciplinary Artist. She’s a Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Breaking & Entering Theatre Collective, and by day she’s the Development Associate at New Dramatists. Her artistic practice is born out of her desire to engage with projects that allow us to expand our ideas on how we tell stories and who those stories serve.

Nikki Cannon - Line Producer

Nikki Cannon is an actor, singer, and dancer from Gainesville, FL. She was most recently seen in Serials at The Tank and is a member of the B&E Line-Up. In addition to performing, Nikki is a vintage clothing collector and dog enthusiast.
